My name is =Commander-Luminaire, but I am generally called Lunari. I am an anthro cartoonist as well as a graphic designer. I use The GIMP and Inkscape to create my work, as well as Dreamweaver. I know a variety of web authoring languages, including HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I also have experience in PHP, Java, and MySQL. Alongside this, I also create Emoticons and Stamps, and regularly hold deviantART Contests.

What if deviantART Vanished?

Now here is a journal entry that is intended to be serious, and it's something that I want you to think about for a moment.

What if deviantART one day just up and crashed, and they said "Screw it" and it didn't come back. How would this affect your life? I know that some people wouldn't give a damn, but I know that other people are very tied with this site, and having it disappear would be a sort of a catastrophe for them. Think about your art, do you have it on your computer? Or is it only on dA. And what about friends that you have met here? Do you have a method of contact outside of dA? How would this affect your professional front. Do you use deviantART to show your skill to clients or employers? Think about this for a moment, and then tell me in the comments :)

I personally would be shocked, but I would most likely get over it. Most of the people I give a damn about, I have their IM info :shrug: Most likely I would start making more use of my FurAffinity account, because Sheezy Art is shit. I would still miss this place though, and all of its lulz and plz accounts...

What would you do?

edit: Seems a lot of people took into consideration that they don't have their deviations on their own computer :nod:
